In addition to Brevard College’s Mazie Hayden and Tyler Orschel, three other local cyclists will also be competing in the 2020 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships this weekend in Austria.
Hendersonville’s Luca Shaw will be representing Team USA in the Men’s Elite Downhill race on Sunday, and Pisgah Forest’s Neko Mulally will also be in the same event. Brevard’s Christopher Grice will also be on the US team in the Men’s Junior Downhill.
Hayden will be competing in the Women’s Elite Downhill event, while Orschel will be representing Team Canada in the Men’s Under 23 Cross Country event.
